Our Transit and Mobility team volunteered with Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization‘s BTactical program by painting NE 15th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
NE 15th Avenue is an important route for people of all ages who regularly walk or bike to various destinations within the community including grocery stores, libraries, schools and parks. The improvements made will increase the visibility of pedestrians and slow down traffic, making the street safer for all users of the road.
This project is prioritized in the Neighborhood Mobility Masterplan (2015-2025) for Lake Ridge. This temporary project, also known as a “Quick Build”, will transform NE 15th Avenue (from NE 11th Street to Ne 13th Street) at a lower cost than permanent improvements. The project will be evaluated to see what works (and what doesn’t) for a future, long-term solution to the street.
