SEPI was contracted to perform environmental due diligence, field environmental surveys,
jurisdictional determination, phase I site assessment, site access review and permit
evaluation for the new Wake Tech facility on an approximately 106-acre site in eastern Wake County.
When Wake Technical Community College leaders identified the ideal location for its eventual seventh campus, they embarked upon a due diligence process to confirm its development potential and viability prior to acquisition. The project ultimately encompassed the purchase of 106 acres of greenfield in eastern Wake County along I‐87 near the Rolesville Road and Wendell Boulevard interchange.
The intent and vision for the acquisition was to establish Wake Technical Community College in the eastern portion of Wake County. Initial programs will include Public Safety, General Education, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
