SEPI to Provide Civil Engineering and Geomatics for the New City of Raleigh Civic Campus as Part of the RATIO Architects/Henning-Larsen Design Team.

As part of its Raleigh Civic Campus Master Plan, the City of Raleigh has released the design team to begin programming the first phase of the Master Plan to deliver the East Civic Tower. The 20-story, 420,000 GSF tower will serve as the new City Hall and is expected to centralize municipal facilities and consolidate City staff as well as provide other public services and amenities. The future Raleigh Civic Campus will be a mixed-use, walkable destination with public-facing government functions, expanded municipal departmental space, and pedestrian-connected public spaces.

Other land uses may be arranged around the campus including urban retail, commercial office, housing, and a combination of below-grade and structured parking. The total potential of the Civic Campus is approximately 2.2 million-SF, excluding underground parking and services.

SEPI is the site engineer for the project and will provide design and permitting of the site utilities, grading and storm drainage, erosion control as well as coordinating submittals through the City. In addition, SEPI is providing complete geomatics support to the project including High Definition Laser Scanning, conventional land surveying, and Subsurface Utility Exploration.
