Working in partnership with the Town of Indian Trail’s Engineering Department, SEPI conducted a visual Pavement Condition Survey of the Town’s streets. Over 800 street segments were evaluated and pavement conditions were recorded for each block.

This information was also used to help prepare a unique Pavement Deterioration Curve for the Town.

The data from the survey was entered into SEPI’s pavement management system resulting in a PCR graph of the Town’s Deterioration Curves, and the calculation of the Average Remaining Life for each segment. These curves are based on characteristics of the pavement and the Average Remaining Life was calculated based on the pavement’s use.

Based on parameters recommended by SEPI and approved by the Town Engineer, a maintenance treatment; if required, was determined for each road segment based on Remaining Useful Life and Pavement Condition Rating.
