SEPI is providing design services for the reconstruction of the existing Lake Lynn Greenway; a total of approximately 2.8-miles of trail including the entire loop around the lake, connections to the Community Center, and a pedestrian access to Ray Road.

Awarded under our on-call contract with the City of Raleigh’s Parks and Recreation Department in 2016, the Lake Lynn Greenway project scope of work began with a feasibility study of the entire trail system to survey the existing conditions and identify areas of the trail that needed complete replacement and those which require resurfacing and widening.

Based on the outcome of the feasibility study, SEPI will produce construction drawings for the project. In addition to the trail reconstruction efforts, these plans will provide design for storm drainage improvements to address trail erosion and/or flooding concerns. As a part of this process, SEPI will assist the City with facilitating public input through a community meeting and distribution of project information.

This project is being led by our Landscape Architecture team, with support from in-house Environmental and Land Surveying departments. SEPI will be engaging with the local residents through a community meeting process to facilitate public feedback into the iterative design process.
