The Town of Cary’s 2016 Capital Improvement Program identified the FY2016 Intersection Improvements Project (ST1251) as a mechanism to help meet the Town’s future transportation needs.

With a goal to address pedestrian, bike, and vehicular level of service and congestion at several key intersections, the Town received partial Federal-funding for the projects to improve connectivity, safety, and quality of life for citizens and visitors to the area.

SEPI was selected to work in partnership with the Town for the assessment and subsequent design improvements of five separate intersections under the FY2016 Intersection Improvements Project.

SEPI is providing landscape architecture services for streetscape design at these intersections. Using the existing, adjacent landscape as a guide, staff are developing a landscape design that will seamlessly blend these improvements back into the overall streetscape along their respective corridors.
