The Circle K – Idlewild project included a raze and rebuild of an existing 500-SF gas station with four fueling stations located at the intersection of Idlewild Road and East W.T. Harris Blvd in Charlotte, NC.

The existing gas station was converted to a 4,100-SF convenience store with eight fueling stations on a newly recombined one-acre tract. SEPI provided due diligence services in order to determine the feasibility of a larger store at this location.

Once the decision was made to pursue this location, SEPI was responsible for the rezoning of the land that Circle K purchased from the adjacent land owner. SEPI was then hired to obtain the site entitlements including Final Site Plan and landscape approval through the City of Charlotte.

SEPI was also responsible for obtaining all construction permits including land-disturbance, stormwater and utility design approval, and providing assistance with obtaining the Building Permits. SEPI permitted work with the City of Charlotte, CDOT, NCDOT, and Mecklenburg County.

SEPI’s technical responsibilities included site layout, landscape design, stormwater management design, storm drainage system design, erosion control design, and the water and sanitary sewer layout and design. SEPI also provided construction administration services to Circle K.
