SEPI was chosen to provide hydraulic flood study services for the design of a new pedestrian bridge over Green Mill Run, just east and downstream of 5th Street in Greenville, Pitt County, NC.
The Green Mill Run Crossing is located within an area that is designated as a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), Zone AE with Floodway. There were multiple repetitive loss properties in the immediate vicinity of the proposed crossing, requiring a design to achieve no increase in 100-year base flood water surface elevations.
SEPI was responsible for the flood model required to achieve a No Rise/No Impact Statement for the construction the pedestrian bridge.
