SEPI conducted a field inventory of small pipes for the NCDOT Division 5 Routine Maintenance Improvement Plan (RMIP).
SEPI developed field collection applications using Collector for ArcGIS which allowed field crews to quickly and easily collect pipe locations, assign pipe attributes and maintenance recommendations, and capture and attach photographs using tablet devices.
To summarize the field maintenance data and provide planning-level information to maintenance engineers and decision makers, SEPI developed an operations dashboard using ArcGIS Online. This dashboard provides at-a-glance information showing total lineal feet and associated costs for pipes to be replaced, repaired, and cleaned. Information may be displayed for an entire division or by individual maintenance sections.
