SEPI was selected to provide Level A Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) test hole services to locate a 12” PVC water line along the north side of W-5601DN project.

The exact location of the water line was not previously known because it was plastic and did not have a tracer line on it.

SEPI staff located the water line using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Once the water line was located, staff dug test holes using the vacuum truck in the locations that were requested. Traffic control was established to help ensure safety on the project site. Survey staff also performed surveys at those locations.

SEPI will provide detailed data sheets for each test hole including survey location of each hole to determine northing and easting coordinates and top of pipe elevations. SEPI will also assist with the water line relocation and utility coordination.
