This project involves widening over 1.54-miles of Kerr Avenue. Improvements include adding pedestrian sidewalks and bicycle lanes to the existing urban corridor for increased connectivity and pedestrian safety.

SEPI is providing inspection services on the project for tasks that include clearing, erosion control, grading, and drainage; milling upgrade of all storm drain pipe and structures; and curb and gutter, sidewalks, multi-use paths, and wheelchair ramp installation. Our certified technicians are also responsible for the inspection of two new -Y- Lines, utilities relocation, paving operations, pavement marking, and signals for the project.

In addition, SEPI staff are responsible for proper traffic control. With high volume traffic routes in surrounding areas and times when disruptions occur during material deliveries, SEPI construction inspection staff interpret traffic control plans and standard drawings and identify revisions as conditions warrant.
