This project involves NC 24 (Lejeune Blvd) access management improvements from NC 24 Business (Johnson Blvd) at Montford Landing Road to NC 172 in Jacksonville.
SEPI recommended access management measures along the 11.0-mile corridor. Improvements will include driveway consolidation, median crossover designs, and interchange alternatives for the Piney Green Road intersection.
SEPI will prepare the traffic forecast, capacity and crash analyses, preliminary designs, and environmental planning for this project.
SEPI is developing several alternatives to minimize impacts to the adjacent businesses and historic residential properties and is facilitating all public involvement and outreach for the project.
SEPI will develop red-line drainage plans for review and include outfall analysis, Stormwater Management Plan, GeoPak Drainage calculations, and ditch computations.
