SEPI is providing multi-disciplinary engineering support services including minor design tasks for more than 12 NCDOT task orders under this on-call contract across NCDOT’s Eastern Division.
Support services have included drafting correspondence, presentation preparations, meetings management, and other minor design tasks for alternative solutions for Division-managed projects.
Specific assigned projects include:
- U-5785 Fire Tower Road Improvements, Greenville, Pitt County, NC. The STIP project U-5785 is scoped to widen Fire Tower Road to a multi-lane facility from NC 43 (Charles Boulevard) to SR 1704 (14th Street). SEPI investigated the need for lane and access management improvements at adjacent intersections to the north and west of the project limits. SEPI prepared the project level forecast, current and future year capacity analyses, and technical memorandum for the project which included four design alternatives.
- Low Impact Bridge Projects (Eight), Pitt, Jones, and Lenoir Counties, NC. SEPI performed the engineering support tasks for eight low impact bridge projects. Tasks included developing landowner mailing lists and mailing landowner notification letters to each address in both English and Spanish; completing a Field Scoping Meeting Worksheet; and completing Attachment G (Low Impact Bridge Project Data Sheet).
- Bridge Preservation Permits, Carteret County, NC. SEPI performed the engineering support tasks for Division Managed Low-Impact Bridge Replacement projects in Carteret County. SEPI conducted field scoping meetings, permit coordination, and completed bridge preservation permit application packages to the Army Corp of Engineers for maintenance of work associated with the bridges.
