SEPI is providing construction engineering and inspection services on the I-40 project in Davie County, NC.

This $55,641,353.85 project consists of a 6.551 mile stretch of I-40 from 0.3 miles east of Iredell County to 0.5 miles west of US 601. This project involves shoulder replacement, concrete slab repair, asphalt overlay, and complex traffic control.

Construction engineering and inspection services include QA/QC oversight, construction materials testing, project documentation control, contract administration, project claims avoidance, and project closeout.

SEPI staff will perform inspection services on earthwork, asphalt paving, drainage installation, traffic markings, bridge construction, monitoring permitted sites, sedimentation and erosion control devices.

The SEPI team is a subconsultant to Flatiron Constructors, Inc. and is providing one Assistant Resident Engineer and one Roadway Technician for the duration of the project.
