SEPI assisted in the addition of the Mosaic Backyard Universe for the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature
The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature is the largest natural history museum on Florida’s Gulf Coast. SEPI assisted Fawley Bryant Architecture by providing site plan preparation, permitting, and construction phase services for the museum’s newest expansion. The expansion plans included a STEM-based learning resource called the Mosaic Backyard Universe.
The Mosaic Backyard Universe is an interactive “backyard” exhibit where kids can have a hands-on experience exploring and investigating the simple wonders of nature — rocks, soil, water, weather and living plants and animals. The entire exhibit, including the 30-foot treehouse, is ADA accessible and designed so that anyone can learn to study science in their own backyard.
