Kaitlyn Forbes, AICP, CNU-A has 6 years of private sector experience in urban design, urban planning, zoning and land use. Kaitlyn has experience in current and long-range planning, urban design, and land use matters. Her expertise includes current and long-range Planning, Urban Design, Development Analysis and Review, Zoning, Land-Use matters, and effective Community Engagement.

Kaitlyn holds  a Bachelor of Urban Planning and Development, and a Master’s degree in Urban Design from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana.  She is certified through the America Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a member of the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA), the Broward County Chapter of the APA, and the Congress for the New Urbanism.

Kaitlyn also has professional affiliations with the APA-National Chapter and the APA-Urban Design Division. In addition, she served with the New York State Office of Climate Change, where she aided in the successful launch of the Climate Smart Communities (CSC) certification program, which is an interagency effort with the goals of reducing greenhouse emissions, preparing for the impact of climate change, and saving taxpayer money.

Jeff Katims, AICP, CNU-A

Jeff  has 30 years of public and private sector experience in urban planning, zoning and land use. His extensive experience covers all phases of current and long-range planning, site planning and design, zoning and land development.

His current experience routinely includes preparing comprehensive plan updates and amendments, drafting land development regulations, reviewing development proposals, providing entitlement services to the private sector, and applying comprehensive plans and land development regulations both as a town planner, private-sector land development consultant and expert witness. Jeff also serves as the Town Planner for Southwest Ranches, Florida and provides a full range of ongoing land use planning services for the Village of Indiantown.

Jeff is fully accredited by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute Academy for the New Urbanism in form based coding, and
is widely regarded for his talent in the code writing arena, having drafted several complete land development codes.

Jeff also is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners and is accredited with the Congress for the New Urbanism. He holds a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from State University of New York, College at Oneonta.
