Dan Miller, PE, PMP, AECPM

VP | Associate | NC Land Development Practice Leader

Dan has over 22 years of experience working in the land development industry with his primary focus being on commercial site developments across the state of North Carolina.

Dan has practiced engineering in the Triangle region for his entire career and has built strong lasting relationships with municipal staff throughout the region. He has successfully managed multiple design teams for retail, commercial, industrial, mixed use, and multi-family clients. His clients have ranged from local developers to national corporations.

His areas of expertise encompass project management, site planning and design, drainage design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, grading, quantity take-offs/estimates, specification coordination, construction phasing, and associated permitting.

Dan holds a BS in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, and is a licensed professional engineer in NC and SC. He has extensive project management experience having earned both his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification as well as certification through the A/E/C Project Management Association which is specific to the industry.

Marty Hebrank, PE

Site/Civil Project Manager

Marty has over 35 years of professional experience focusing on civil projects including roadway design, site development, stormwater modeling, water and wastewater, erosion and sedimentation control plans, and construction inspection. In addition to his experience in conceptual land planning and preparation of construction plans, he has successfully permitted projects through several governmental agencies.

Marty is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University.

Walter De Goes, PE

Project Manager

Walter has more than 20 years of civil engineering and project management experience in managing the design and construction of residential, commercial, airport, industrial and transportation projects from  feasibility  to completion, including certifying projects upon completion.

Walter also has extensive experience serving as a subject matter expert /specialist  for airport infrastructure to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials during the implementation of various major airports projects across the United States.  He works to apply civil engineering principles as related to the development of standards, specifications, criteria, and guidelines for airport pavement design, construction and techniques, quality control maintenance, and management. He also conducts advanced engineering studies to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of established and proposed airport pavement projects.

Walter is a Florida registered Professional Engineer, a certified Transportation Engineer, and a private FAA pilot. He holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo and a Graduate certificate in Transportation Engineering from the University of Central Florida.

Lin Smith

Site/Civil CADD Technician

Lin has over 23 years of experience as a CADD Technician. He has gained knowledge and experience using AutoCAD for architectural drawings, Land Development Desktop for commercial building projects, and AirNAB for HVAC tests and balance projects.
He has assisted in the creation of exhibits; revised construction documents; prepared static pressure profile sheets; and drafted HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and civil construction documents from engineer and designer markups.

Lin holds both a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Drafting and Design Technology from Lenoir Community College.

Jenny Adams

Site Civil CAD Technician II

Jenny brings a diverse skill set obtained during her 22 years as a Design Associate. She is experienced in CAD systems and management and adds considerable permitting experience to the team. Jenny utilizes her strong technical, communication, and organizational skills to support SEPI’s Land Development team.

Jaclyn Adriatico, EI

Project Designer

Jaclyn is a Site/Civil Designer with a strong background in hydrology and hydraulics, civil engineering, and land development. She provides the project team with engineering support and is experienced with storm runoff calculations, storm network design, stormwater control measure design, preparing Stormwater Impact Analysis reports, and erosion control layout with various public and private land development projects. Jaclyn also assists with the design of utility systems, roadway design, the preparation of calculations supporting the design, and site permitting activities.

Jaclyn  is a certified Engineer Intern and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering with a Sustainable Energy Minor from North Carolina State University.

Stephen Rigo, EI

Land Development Civil Analyst

Stephen’s role and experience as a Land Development Civil Analyst includes utilizing AutoCAD for drafting and performing engineering calculations. He also assists professional engineers with additional engineering work on various tasks and projects.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Mathematics minor from Florida Gulf Coast University.
