Transportation Designer / Traffic Analyst
Abby has four years of experience in engineering and construction, including internships in both water resources and roadway design. Through a background in Environmental Science, she has experience conducting geological surveys, soil testing, analyzing data, and using GIS to map and model stream dynamics. She is also experienced in writing and editing technical reports, organizing data for regulatory compliance, and upholding safety requirements.
Abby conducted extensive research in multimodal intersection design and safety through her master’s thesis at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, which was presented at the 2020 TRB conference in Washington D.C. As a roadway designer at SEPI, Abby assisted in the design of highways, roundabouts, interchanges, sidewalks, and multiuse paths. As a traffic analyst at SEPI, she has experience with trip generation, trip distribution, demand modeling, and technical report writing. Abby is skilled in MicroStation, PTV Vissim, Synchro, and Bentley OpenRoads.
Abby holds a MS in Civil Engineering from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a BS in Environmental Science from Davidson College.
